September is the elk rut — bulls bugling, weather crisp, the best of the year. Moose run alongside it, and spring means bears over the green-up. We confirm provincial seasons and tags for your year before anything is booked.

The experience

Wilderness camp, not a hotel.

Spike camps and outpost lodges reached by truck, boat or float plane — wood smoke, a drying rack, and elk backstrap over the fire while the guide bugles at first light.
