Huntica (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a premium hosted hunting agency registered in Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data you share with us.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to all visitors and users of huntica.co.

1. What data we collect

We collect personal data that you voluntarily provide through our contact form and booking enquiries:

  • Name — to address you personally
  • Email address — to respond to your enquiry and send trip proposals
  • Phone number — for direct communication about your trip
  • Country of residence — to determine licensing, visa, and permit requirements
  • Hunting preferences — destinations, species, group size, and trip format to design your hosted adventure

If you subscribe to our trip alerts, we collect your email address only.

2. How we store your data

Your personal data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.2+.

Access to your data is restricted to authorised Huntica team members who need it to deliver your trip or respond to your enquiry.

3. Cookies

We use a limited number of cookies on our website:

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data (pages visited, time on site, device type) to help us understand how visitors use our site
  • Consent preference cookie — stores your cookie consent choice so we don’t ask you again on every visit

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking for ad purposes. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner on our site.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following third-party services, strictly for the purposes described:

  • Google Analytics — anonymised website usage analytics. Google’s privacy policy applies to data they process.
  • Vercel Analytics — anonymised performance and usage metrics for our website hosting platform.
  • Supabase — secure cloud database where contact form submissions and subscriber data are stored.

Huntica does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Where necessary for service delivery, we may share relevant details (such as your name, dietary requirements, or travel dates) with trusted operational partners — including airlines, hotels, lodges, and transportation providers — solely to facilitate your trip.

5. UAE PDPL compliance

Huntica complies with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). As a company registered in Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, we process your data in accordance with UAE data protection requirements. This means:

  • We collect data only for specific, legitimate purposes
  • We process data lawfully and transparently
  • We limit data collection to what is necessary for the stated purpose
  • We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data

6. GDPR compliance for EU visitors

If you are based in the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to the processing of your personal data. Our legal basis for processing is:

  • Legitimate interest — responding to your enquiry and delivering the service you requested
  • Consent — for analytics cookies and trip alert subscriptions (you can withdraw consent at any time)

Under GDPR, you have additional rights including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data retention

We retain your personal data for the following periods:

  • Contact form enquiries and lead data — kept until trip completion plus 2 years, then anonymised or deleted
  • Trip alert subscribers — kept until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics data — retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months (anonymised)

After the retention period, personal data is either anonymised (so it can no longer identify you) or securely deleted.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct — ask us to update or correct inaccurate data
  • Delete — ask us to delete your personal data (subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it)
  • Withdraw consent — for any processing based on consent, you can withdraw at any time
